Here’s What Members Want to Talk About On the Road in Philly & Boston

- SC&RA is bringing its advocacy efforts directly to members this summer with two convenient regional On the Road stops: Philadelphia on June 16 and Boston on June 17. These free, half-day events are designed for crane, rigging, and specialized transportation professionals who seek answers and assistance on issues that are directly affecting their operations. Members who have already registered have expressed strong interest in discussing the following topics:
  • Oversized loads: blanket permits at the super-load level and more favorable permitting processes for oversized loads in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut;
  • The growing impact of tariffs on equipment inventory, pricing, and sales opportunities;
  • Challenges in the specialty crane segment—particularly self-erecting and mobile self-erecting tower cranes—and the need for safety standards, regulations, and jobsite requirements that reflect their unique applications;
  • Varying State DOT requirements for engineered lift plans, along with related rules and regulations.
Do you have an issue that’s not on the list yet? SC&RA invites members to register and submit topics they would like to discuss. These regional meetings are part of SC&RA’s commitment to better engage members and leverage action on advocacy priorities that can positively impact business operations. Register today and include your topic at scranet.org/ontheroad2026.
