Next Week’s Stops: Philly & Boston

-This summer, SC&RA is taking its advocacy straight to you with two convenient regional On the Road events: Philadelphia, Tues., June 16 and Boston, Wed., June 17.

These free, half-day gatherings are built for busy crane, rigging, and specialized transportation professionals who want real answers and actionable support on the issues hitting their operations right now. Members who have already registered are eager to dive into these key topics:
  • Oversized loads — including blanket permits at the super-load level and smoother, more favorable permitting processes in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
  • Tariffs and their growing impact on equipment inventory, pricing, and sales opportunities.
  • Specialty crane challenges — especially self-erecting and mobile self-erecting tower cranes — and the need for safety standards, regulations, and jobsite rules that actually match how these cranes are used.
  • Inconsistent State DOT requirements for engineered lift plans and related regulations.
Got a pressing issue that’s not on the list? This is your chance to bring it forward. When you register, simply submit your topic so SC&RA can make sure it gets discussed. These regional meetings are a direct line to shaping the advocacy priorities that matter most to your business.
Register at scranet.org/ontheroad2026. We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia or Boston next week!
