SC&RF Awards Two Vo/Tech and One Partner in Education Scholarships

(July 11, 2024) - The SC&RF is proud to announce the following candidates were selected to receive either financial assistance or tuition from one of the SC&RF Partners in Education organizations:

Daniel Shears is an employee at JK Crane and the recipient of the White Brothers Continuing Education Scholarship Recipient. He will use his $2,500 award to complete CDL driving school.  

Sean Empey is an employee at Ideal Crane and the recipient of the GKS Continuing Education Scholarship. He received a $2,000 award toward the Certified Safety and health official course at Texas A&M.

Scott Ross is the recipient of the Morrow Partner in Education Scholarship and will receive 100% tuition to attend the Tower Crane Operator Course with NCCCO Certification.  Additionally, Morrow Equipment Corporation donated travel and lodging expenses.

Two rounds (August and October) and over $100,000 in free tuition from Partner In Education organizations remain to be awarded. An additional $6,500 for 2024 remains to be awarded to vocational/technical applicants.  For more information visit www.scr-foundation.org.
