SC&RF Establishes the James Lomma Legacy Endowment Fund

-The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation (SC&RF) announced the establishment of the James Lomma Legacy Endowment Fund at the SC&RA Annual Conference Closing Night Awards Dinner on April 24, 2026. The fund was established by his daughter, Jennifer Gabel, to honor the memory of an extraordinary industry leader and carry his values forward into the next generation. James Lomma was a defining figure in the crane and rigging industry — recognized in 2014 with the SC&RA Golden Achievement Award and remembered by colleagues and competitors alike as a man of unwavering integrity, compassion, and principle. He was a pioneer who invested in ideas before others could see them, a volunteer who gave generously of his time and resources, and a leader who worked cooperatively to shape the rules and regulations that strengthened the industry for all. He navigated complex challenges with quiet diplomacy, persevered through adversity with grace, and never sought recognition in return for his service. The James Lomma Legacy Endowment Fund is designed to ensure that the qualities that defined his life — integrity, compassion, service, and an unyielding commitment to excellence — continue to inspire and shape the careers of those who follow.
