Tower Cranes North America Opens with SC&RA as Exclusive Event Partner

- SC&RA was well represented at the 2024 Tower Cranes North America event, June 11-12 in Nashville, with CEO Joel Dandrea welcoming nearly 300 attendees. Several SC&RA members spoke on a range of topics relevant to the ever-changing tower crane industry. Kicking off the conference was keynote speaker Sam Moyer, General Manager, ALL Tower Crane. He discussed the various ways the industry has evolved and what factors are shaping future trends. Other presentations focused on the legal aspects of tower crane contracts; preparing for severe weather; synthetic versus wire rope; a roundtable discussion about crane erection, climbing and disassembly; a case study on the fascinating Crazy Horse Memorial project in South Dakota; and how to utilize technology to improve safety on lifting sites.
