SC&RA RECOGNIZES MEMBER COMPANIES WITH AWARDS
Environmental, President’s and Longevity Awards Presented
This year, 70 companies were presented Longevity Awards for their more than 25 years continuous membership in the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), while one member was presented with the SC&RA President’s Award, given to a company whose employees recruit the most new members during the year. Additionally in 2026, two SC&RA members were presented with the Association’s Environmental Award, given for outstanding contributions to environmental protection.
The awards were presented at the 2026 SC&RA Annual Conference, April 20-24, at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, Amelia Island, Fla.
The SC&RA Environmental Award recognizes companies demonstrating exceptional commitment to sustainability across their operations. Criteria focus on broad environmental consciousness—such as recycling programs and adoption of alternate energy sources—as well as responsible policies for company vehicles, including cars, trucks, cranes, and trailers. Additionally, the award evaluates on-site practices at job locations, covering proper handling of hazardous materials and comprehensive environmental training and certification for employees and contractors.
SC&RA CEO Joel Dandrea presented the 2026 Environmental Award to Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft, Memmingen, Germany, and Liebherr USA, Newport News, Va., for their leadership in implementing environmentally sustainable practices. Recognizing such efforts is vital because it highlights how the heavy specialized transportation and crane and rigging industry can reduce its ecological footprint, inspire industry-wide improvements, protect natural resources, and demonstrate that responsible business operations and environmental stewardship can successfully go hand in hand.
Dandrea also recognized Palco Transportation LLC, Princeton Junction, N.J., with the SC&RA President’s Award. This honor is given to the company whose employees recruit the most new members during the previous year. In total, Palco Transportation recruited three new members to the SC&RA family in 2025.
