Safety Award Task Force Meets to Review Criteria

-The Safety Award Task Force met last week to begin a comprehensive review of the criteria for the Crane & Rigging Group Safety Award. Specifically, the Incident Expense Frequency Rate criteria, which currently stands at 1.0. This rate was established in 2018 and had not been revisited since implementation. The task force is considering whether this is still a viable calculation given the current economic situation as well as the inclusion of additional industry metrics used to identify safe operations. Task force members are: Chris Afinowicz, Wales Crane and Rigging Service, Inc.; Cameron Boots, Gallagher Crane Division; Jordan Casey, Brasfield and Gorrie, LP; Kevin D. Kelley, Sr., Environmental Health & Safety Solutions Inc.; Justin Lambert, Bragg Companies; Jeremy Landry, Deep South Crane and Rigging, LLC; Wesley Peebles, Southway Crane & Rigging, LLC (B); Randy M. Proos, USI Insurance Services LLC; Randy Sever, PSC Crane & Rigging; Bill Smith, NBIS (NationsBuilders Insurance Services, Inc.); and Scott Wilson, CraneWorks, Inc.
